END OF YEAR PERFORMANCE - NUTCRACKER BALLET
What a wonderful performance! Audiences were delighted with our beautiful Flowers & Snowflakes and our energetic
senior Trepak dancers. And how wonderful to be dancing alongside Briana Shepherd, Terri's granddaughter! Who has
been dancing with New York City Ballet these last few years. A huge effort from teachers and all students! Thank you
to all parents for your feedback regarding the performance - there were some wonderful comments. For 2010 we are
planning our performance week to be earlier in December; during the last week of the ballet term. However we are
always reliant on theatre availability, although we do try to book 2 years in advance!

We recently hosted special guest Alida Segal, well known Character Dancing teacher from Melbourne, who worked with our teachers on some special Character dances which grades 3 to 6 students will be learning in term 3.Click Here for some information and notes about the particular dances that students will be learning.
WELCOME LEANNE STOJMENOV
We are proud to welcome Leanne Stojmenov home to Perth. Leanne is one of Terri Charlesworth's former students, now a Senior Artist of the Australian Ballet. She is a nominee for Australian Ballet's most prestigious award, the 2009 Telstra Ballet Dancer Award. This award is judged on the dancers artistic work, development and potential. There is also a people's vote, see details below.
Leanne will be retuning to Perth in September to star in the Youth Ballet WA's Gala Fundraising Concert Performance at the Perth Concert Hall on September the 6th at 5.00pm. The performance will feature Leanne and her partner Kevin Jackson, Soloist of the Australian Ballet, dancing the famous pas de deux from Sleeping Beauty and Le Corsaire. The whole program will be fantastic with our talented YBWA students performing exciting works drawn from the Russian Repertoire prepared by Tatiana Pevneva. Tickets are available from Youth Ballet WA at reduced prices for the Terri Charlesworth Ballet Centre of $40.00 for adults and $20.00 for children. This is a special price for our students as normal BOCS ticketing prices for this performance are $49.00 for adults and $29.90 for children. For your tickets contact Youth Ballet WA office on 9201 1812 and mention the Terri Charlesworth Ballet Centre. An event not to be missed!
